Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension of envy and gratitude through a palette that juxtaposes deep, dark colors against soft, light tones. The dark shades represent envy, while the lighter tones symbolize gratitude, creating a dance of conflict and balance. The arrangement features a dense cluster of dark colors in the center, surrounded by lighter shades that zigzag outward, reflecting the concept of ‘stairs against noise’ as they universally echo against the darker core. Broken pixels throughout suggest imperfections, enhancing tension and intensity in the visual experience.
