Artist Statement
The emotional tone oscillates between feelings of loneliness and connection. Utilizing a palette of warm yellows and oranges partnered with deep blues and muted purples evokes a dynamic warmth against coolness, embodying the struggle between isolation and the desire for connection. A central pattern of dense, broken dots reflects interrupted thoughts or memories, while lighter colors at the edges create a sense of negative space, suggesting the emptiness that loneliness can bring. The collision predominantly occurs in the top three rows, where warm hues intrude upon cooler, darker sections, establishing tension and interaction between opposing feelings. Broken pixels introduce a sense of imperfection, mirroring the fractured nature of memory and emotional experience across this abstract composition.
