Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional tensions between control and surrender. The palette, derived from muted-tones like sepia and faded blue, reflects a history of fading memories with a slight drag of the past. The central collision, represented as a dense cluster in the middle, against a wider, quieter channel is designed to evoke a feeling of pressure against the inevitable release. The erosion in color placement brings an aspect of disarray amid the structured noise patterns, emphasizing the tension from control straining against the soft yields of surrender created through broken dot placements. This spatial arrangement allows for a narrative where order and chaos coexist, revealing a cathartic emotional dialogue.
