Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension of desire versus restraint, where warm saturated colors suggest an intense longing, while muted tones embody a sense of confinement. The palette features strong reds and oranges contrasted by cooler grays and creams, creating a dynamic interplay between warmth and coolness. The arrangement is split horizontally, with the top four rows reflecting desire in an island-like pattern, while the bottom rows exhibit a ring structure representing restraint.
