Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional dichotomy of joy and grief through contrasting color palettes. The central band of bright yellows and oranges symbolizes joy, reflecting warmth and spark amidst the heavy, muted blue and purple edges signifying grief. The checkerboard pattern juxtaposes order and chaos, with rigid frames of joy interrupted by flowing, fragmented grief. The broken pixels evoke the imperfections of emotion, capturing the essence of the seed's themes of conflict and connection.
