Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional duality of fear and hope, using a palette that juxtaposes deep, dark colors to represent fear against soft, light colors that symbolize hope. The jagged edges of the dark hues contrast with the gentle upward flow of the pale green and soft gold, creating a sense of tension. The main collision occurs in the center, where darkness battles with light, echoing the idea of a 'burst' revealing hidden potential amidst fear. The layout utilizes a corner invasion structure, allowing fear to spread, while hope seeks to break through, contrasted by the dynamic patterns of stripes and rain that evoke a sense of movement and emotion.
