Artist Statement
The emotional tone oscillates between feelings of isolation and connection. The palette features deep navy, black, and hints of bright white, representing the stark contrasts of loneliness and fleeting connection. The left side embodies loneliness with a maze-like cluster of colors representing isolation, while the right side gradually opens into more vibrant whites with an echoing grid-like pattern to suggest connectivity. The center reflects a 'tear', disrupting the flow and creating a hidden yet exposed dynamic, while the soft edges add complexity to the emotions captured through ancient warmth of fire-like flickers amidst coolness.
