Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional dichotomy of love versus betrayal through a clash of warm and cool colors. The palette features shades of pink and red to signify love, contrasting against dark maroon and gray representing betrayal. The left side is dense with dots, symbolizing the warmth of affection, while the right employs crosshatches for a fractured, chaotic feel. The interaction between these two patterns creates a rhythmic tension that manifests as an echo of unresolved feelings, much like the themes of rising and falling in relationships. The play between soft and broken edges reinforces the fragility of these emotions.
