Artist Statement
The emotional tone derives from the interplay between control and surrender, embodying an inward pressure against an outward pull. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green captures a spectrum from dark, heavy confinement to a soft, yielding lightness. Central collision occurs as black and dark violet form a dense core, pushing against the more delicate soft gold and pale green. This juxtaposition reflects the concepts of containment versus overflow, where broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions, mimicking the tension between structured pressure and moments of release within the square.
