Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between quietude and pressure. The off-white and faint peach colors form a soft foundation that evokes tranquility, while deep dark navy and compressed red create hard edges and dense clusters, illustrating compression and conflict. The collision occurs mainly at the center, where warm colors interact with cool spaces, suggesting an unresolved dynamic. The usage of maze-like patterns on one side contrasts with thread-like patterns on the opposite side, echoing the tension between entropy and order, while broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions for added depth.
