Artist Statement
This artwork explores the dichotomy of panic and control through a sharp contrast between dark and light. The chosen palette of black, navy, and varying shades of gray represents the impending pressure of chaos, while hints of white offer moments of clarity and relief. The left side incorporates 'stairs' patterns to depict panic with jagged interruptions, while the right side employs a 'target' pattern, symbolizing control and focus. The flow is center-outward, reflecting how control radiates and panics recede, yet this composition contains broken pixels that disrupt the symmetry, portraying imperfection amidst the struggle. The interplay between dense areas of color and lighter spaces narrates the rising tension that demands resolution, grounding the viewer in the experience of oscillating emotions.
