Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between vulnerability and strength, using a palette of deep blacks, muted violets, and soft gold to symbolize the spectrum of these emotions. The black represents vulnerability, a space to retreat, while the dark violet and soft gold express strength and unexpected warmth. The primary collision occurs in the center, where pale green subtly interrupts the darker tones, suggesting moments of exposure and an incoming spark amidst the backdrop of depth. This arrangement flows downward resembling tears or falling rainfall, echoing the constant push and pull between feeling exposed and wanting shelter, while the interplay of dense and sparse sections invites contemplation on connection and alienation.
