Artist Statement
This abstract composition reflects the tension between loneliness and connection. The palette is intentionally chosen from the 'love_betrayal' family, using dark maroon to represent isolation and pink/red to signify warmth and connection. The pattern contrasts dense clusters of red and maroon on the top, symbolizing emotional weight, while the faint gray evokes the space of loneliness, creating a palpable tension. The grid structure and crosshatching pattern encapsulate the struggle of being hidden versus exposed, an echo of a tear in the emotional fabric. The arrangement maintains at least 10% negative space, enhancing the feeling of emptiness against bursts of color, illustrating the duality of human experience.
