Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between loneliness and connection through contrasting color placements and spatial arrangement. The palette, consisting of warm yellows and muted purples against deep blues, captures the dynamic interplay between joy and grief. The dominant presence of muted purples creates a sense of isolation, while bursts of yellow mimic fleeting connections. The layout, mirroring on both sides with intentional disarray, evokes feelings of disruption, amplifying the emotional dichotomy. Each blocked area represents moments of connection, while stark negative spaces signify loneliness, culminating in an abstract narrative of human experience.
