Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between panic and control. The interplay of dark tones and pale accents reflects a struggle where the edges are contained yet the center bursts with energy, signifying inner chaos. The palette draws from stark contrasts: deep blacks symbolize control, while pale blues introduce a sense of unease. The arrangement embodies a 'split_screen' approach, with the upper left corner contrasting rigid structures against the chaotic lower right. Defects in pixel placement further enhance feelings of disruption, embodying the notion of 'pixel bleed', allowing negative space to coexist with density.
