Artist Statement
This piece embodies the conflict between vulnerability and strength through a carefully selected palette of contrasting colors. The dark, solid blacks and reds represent strength, while the softer, lighter pale blues and whites illustrate vulnerability. The dense center, containing stronger tones, is surrounded by a lighter, more fragmented patchwork representing the thin shield of vulnerability. The central collision of strength versus vulnerability is encapsulated by the darker colors that pulse at the core, gradually transitioning outwards into a lighter field. Broken pixels add intentional disruption, illustrating the fragility of safety in the face of exposure, creating a dynamic flow from the center towards the edges, reflecting the emotional landscape of the seed.
