Artist Statement
This artwork encapsulates the emotional tension of desire contrasted with the constraints of restraint. The palette features vibrant colors like hot coral and blood orange to express saturated desire, while muted tones of charcoal and hollow blue illustrate contained restraint. The composition is predominantly dark, interrupted by a bright cluster at the center representing moments of yearning. The crosshatch and spark patterns collide, creating visual friction that reflects emotional struggle. Broken pixels add intentional imperfections, symbolizing wounds and interruptions as desire battles against boundaries.
