Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional interplay between desire and restraint. The palette features a stark contrast with warm tones—red_oxide and small_orange—representing desire, while the muted cool tones—blackened_plum and iron_gray—symbolize restraint. The left side, dominated by warmer colors, suggests a swirling energy, while the right side exhibits more controlled, cooler tones, creating a serene but tense boundary. The collision between these elements occurs in the center where the patterns of 'scar' and 'rain' overlap, emphasizing the struggle between overflowing desire and contained restraint. Broken pixels introduce imperfection, reflecting the complexities of emotional experiences.
