Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the contrast between the passionate intensity of desire and the tempered limitations of restraint. A palette of warm reds and muted creams symbolizes desire's vibrant push against the cooler blackened plum and iron gray showing restraint. The layout of an argument grid with clashes between checker and flame patterns creates visual tension that underscores collision and interruption. The central area is dominated by saturated colors representing desire, contrasted by more muted tones around the edges. Intentionally broken pixels contribute to a sense of imperfection and disruption within the emotional narrative.
