Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between tenderness and rage through color and pattern. The chosen palette, 'rage_calm', juxtaposes deep red tones signaling anger with soft pale blues and whites that embody tenderness, creating a pulse of conflict. The outer frame in darker colors channels the intensity of rage while the inner 4x4 'stepwell' pattern radiates a gentle rhythm, representing quiet resilience. The main collision occurs at the center where red dots resist the soft flow of blue, symbolizing an emotional struggle. The overall composition evokes a sense of tension with a muted landscape that has hints of saturation - akin to navigating through an emotional storm.
