Artist Statement
This piece explores the dichotomy of love and betrayal through contrasting colors and spatial arrangements. The palette blends warm pinks and reds with cooler grays and dark maroons to evoke feelings of warmth against the chill of betrayal. The composition utilizes a nearly mirrored layout that disturbs the symmetry with strategically placed broken pixels, representing tension and unresolved feelings. The flow spirals clockwise, suggesting movement from the heart (top) to a more fractured state (bottom), while the radial and rain patterns echo the cyclical nature of relationships, where feelings collide and blur at the edges.
