Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a balance of defiance and submission, captured through the interplay of bright and muted colors. The palette of 'softness_severity' combines a sharp crimson (representing defiance) against warmer, softer tones of powder pink and warm white (embodying submission). Center vs edges serve as a battlefield with the dominant sharp crimson overpowering the other hues, creating a confrontation in the center, while the gradations downwards represent a retreat. The 'rising_signal' layout reflects hope and upward movement, while broken pixels disrupt the flow, symbolizing imperfection in the struggle. The colors collide and overlap in the middle, sparking an abstract tension that hints at an emotional narrative without becoming literal.
