Artist Statement
This composition interprets the emotional tension between love and betrayal through a duality of color and form. The warm palette of pink and red against the cooler gray and dark maroon evokes a confrontation of comforting warmth with the chilling elements of betrayal. The layout of falling pixels suggests both the descent of emotions and the fractured dynamics of a broken heart. The main contrast is created through the dense clusters of red resembling the pangs of love pressuring the cooler gray areas which symbolize betrayal, creating an echo of emotional turmoil. The pattern mixes the orderly 'target' constructs of love with the chaotic 'spark' of betrayal, leading to a collision that speaks of inner conflict.
