Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional duality of tenderness and rage through contrasting yet cohesive patterns. The palette of deep blacks and reds symbolizes rage, while the pale blues and whites introduce calmness, mimicking the soothing interludes amidst emotional turbulence. The four shades create a dynamic rhythm where deep, jagged enclaves of red ('target' pattern) clash with the soft, textured signs of blue ('teeth' pattern) suggesting a pulse of emotion radiating from a central focal point, simulating a tension between control and vulnerability. Broken pixels are introduced to jar the expected symmetry, representing the inherent imperfections found in emotional expression.
