Artist Statement
The artwork captures the emotional collision of dread and relief through a carefully curated color palette that reflects both heaviness and lightness. The outer border of dark tones symbolizes the weight of dread, creating a constrictive presence. In contrast, the inner 4x4 section, filled with lighter and softer hues, represents relief and hope, echoing a transition from pressure to release. The flow is scattered, emphasizing the disjointedness of emotion, while broken pixel placements introduce an element of imperfection, echoing the chaotic nature of our feelings. The arrangement suggests an emotional journey, where dark feelings interlace with lighter, freeing moments.
