Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional duality of dread and relief through color and pattern. The color palette consists of deep blacks representing dread paired with stark whites and pale blues symbolizing moments of relief. The dense black area shows how heavy emotions can crush, while the smaller white and pale blue sections reflect hope and clarity breaking through. The broken pixels introduce imperfections that echo the struggles within the emotions, while the grid-like structure encourages a sense of combatting arrangement. This layout emphasizes the struggle between symmetry and chaos, echoing the seed's themes of balance and rupture.
