Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between fear and hope through the use of dark and light colors. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green creates a contrast where the dark colors represent fear's weight and pressure, while the lighter ones evoke the soft glow of hope. The primary contrast is vertical, representing the split between these two emotions, while subtle clashes happen as lighter pixels punctuate the dark background, suggesting an intermingling of feelings. The flow descends from top to bottom, resembling tears or rain, enhancing the emotional impact and mirroring the heaviness of fear against the lightness of hope.
