Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension of vulnerability versus strength. The central 'island' is created with stronger, deeper hues such as dark brown (#4E3B2E) and rich green (#2A4B2D) which symbolize strength and stability. Surrounding this island is a field of soft, pale colors like warm beige (#E8D5C4) and cold white (#F0F8FF), representing vulnerability and exposure. The collision of these color groups, particularly at the junction between the grounded center and the delicate outer edges, hints at an underlying conflict. Broken pixels are introduced as intentional 'leaks' within the strong colors, enhancing the sensation of instability and a gradual erosion of strength.
