Artist Statement
The emotional tone balances the yearning for connection (longing) with the strength of determination (resolve). The selected palette of pale mint and faded gold evokes a sense of warmth and possibility against the deeper tones of storm gray and near black, symbolizing the complexities of emotional landscapes. Contrasts occur as the light colors are disrupted by darker tones, illustrating the push-pull between chaos and order, with the primary collision happening diagonally from the bottom left to the top right, represented by arranging lattice patterns of longing interwoven with stepwell shapes of resolve.
