Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this artwork presents a dichotomy between clarity and confusion, represented by the contrasting elements of 'signal' (clear, organized) and 'noise' (chaotic, disruptive). I chose a palette of 'signal green', 'electric blue', 'dead black', 'static gray', and 'hot magenta' to evoke feelings of vibrancy clashing against a backdrop of static unease. The left half uses sharper, cleaner colors to suggest a readable pulse, while the right offers deeper hues of chaos, overwhelming the sense. The broken pixels create intentional disruptions, akin to static interference, while the main collision occurs centrally, where these two emotional states blend and blur.
