Artist Statement
The artwork explores the tension between loneliness and connection through a palette of dark violet, soft gold, and pale green, symbolizing both isolation and warmth. The central 'crack' represents the burst of connection amidst the surrounding loneliness, reflecting a stark contrast in emotional states. The soft edges create a sense of permeability, while the irregular pattern disrupts the grid, echoing conflict between the hidden and the exposed. The use of negative space enhances the feeling of detachment, while broken pixels introduce an element of imperfection.
