Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional dichotomy between loneliness and connection through its layout and color palette. The top half expresses loneliness with scattered, muted tones, representing isolation and vulnerability. The bottom half transforms into brighter, warmer colors to convey connection, suggesting warmth and solidarity. The palette combines sepia, tan, dusty gray, and faded blue to evoke depth and nostalgia. The main contrast manifests in the clash between the solitary upper section and the more energized lower section, creating a tension that reflects the struggle against loneliness. Shifts in color density and broken pixels highlight the imperfections of memory and connection, leading to a rhythmic yet disjointed visual experience.
