Artist Statement
The emotional tone contrasts the emptiness of cool colors on one side against the warmth of the desire palette on the other, creating tension between both feelings. The palette merges blacks and deep reds with pale blues and whites, representing both yearning and emptiness. Main collision occurs at the center where blues encroach on the reds, suggesting a struggle between desire rising and emptiness falling. Patterns of broken dots represent desire while maze-like arrangements symbolize emptiness, interplaying throughout the square.
