Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional contrasts of confusion and clarity by utilizing a palette of burnt orange, dark red, charcoal, and gold. The top half emphasizes confusion with a staircase pattern creating pressure through tightly packed colors, while the bottom half reflects clarity through more open spaces and smoother transitions. The layout embodies a split-horizontal approach, where the negative space introduces a rhythmic quiet against the intensity above. The chosen colors clash in certain areas, symbolizing the emotional collisions described in the seed, fostering a narrative of underlying tension and unexpected harmony.
