Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the interplay of longing and resolve, with an underlying rhythm of duality. The color palette, primarily featuring warm red-oxide and muted cream shades against the depth of blackened plum and iron gray, evokes a sense of craving enveloped in a soft boundary. The collision occurs where the circular ripple pattern of resolve intersects with the erratic crosshatch of longing, mainly in the center of the grid, creating a dynamic visual tension. The inclusion of broken pixels adds an intentional disruption to the otherwise balanced structure, symbolizing the imperfect journey between desire and determination.
