Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between certainty and curiosity. The palette, chosen from soft off-white, muted dust gray, and striking compressed red, aids in manifesting the juxtaposition between solid, reliable structures and the instinctual urge to explore the unknown. The rising signal layout reflects a vertical movement, suggesting ascent and hope, while the broken pixels introduce an intentional distortion, embodying curiosity's capacity to disrupt order. The main collision occurs prominently in the center, where clusters of compressed red challenge the surrounding gray fields, representing the unpredictability of curiosity against the backdrop of certainty.
