Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between loneliness and connection. The color palette, drawn from deep blacks and soothing pale greens, creates a core contrast reflecting this dichotomy. The center is weighted with richer tones symbolizing ancient fire, drawing focus amidst the lighter, muted edges which create a sense of emptiness. Patterns of dots represent loneliness, while crosshatched areas represent connection. The flow from top to bottom suggests rain or tears, enhancing the emotional depth while maintaining necessary negative space, ensuring a balance between pressure and release.
