Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional dichotomy between defiance and submission. The color palette, consisting of soft sky blue for calmness, storm gray and near black for tension, and faded gold for a flicker of hope, contrasts to evoke a sense of struggle and resolution. The layout emphasizes a 'threshold' where dark edges (submission) confront a bright, bold center (defiance). Broken pixels introduce interruptions that offer a sense of imperfection, reflecting the chaotic nature of this emotional conflict. The diagonal flow enhances the sense of rising tension and the uneven borders suggest the chaotic interplay between the two emotions, encapsulating the seed's essence in an abstract narrative.
