Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a struggle between bold resistance and quiet retreat. I chose a palette of pale mint, soft sky, storm gray, near black, and faded gold to evoke both clarity and tension. The main contrast occurs at the center where dense, glitch-like patterns of dark pixels collide with lighter echoes, suggesting a tumultuous emotional state. The arrangement reflects the idea of an attack on a protected core, with the outer quiet combating the inner intensity, embodying a feeling of defiance against submission. Negative space is preserved, enhancing the sense of tension, while broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions, representing the fragility of this conflict.
