Artist Statement
The emotional tone arises from the tension between loneliness and connection, expressed through a stark color contrast between deep blacks and the soft glow of gold and green. The palette, a mix of dark and light colors, evokes feelings of isolation (black, dark violet) contrasted with fleeting moments of hope (soft gold, pale green). The main collision occurs through the placement of gold pixels breaking through the darker hues, symbolizing attempts at connection amidst pervasive loneliness. The central focus reflects this struggle, with broken patterns disrupting the otherwise mirrored design, suggesting imperfections in relationships and memory. The arrangement includes empty spaces, creating a sense of hollowness alongside densely packed pixels representing emotional weight.
