Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional dichotomy of joy and grief through its color palette and layout. Utilizing bright yellows and oranges to represent joy while juxtaposing them against muted purples and deep blues to signify grief, the arrangement creates a visual tension. The palette chooses colors dense with meaning—yellow for warmth and hope, mixed with deeper tones that suggest loss and introspection.
