Artist Statement
This piece captures the tension between vitality and decay, symbolized by the warming tones of 'spark' contrasted against the cooler shades of 'ash.' The use of sepia and faded blue creates a dialogue of memory and erasure, where the upper rows invoke energy through patterns reminiscent of quick bursts, while the lower half embodies a sense of settled calm.
