Artist Statement
This piece explores the tension between isolation and the yearning for connection. The chosen palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green embodies a contrast of despair against a desire for warmth. The heavier top rows symbolize weight and loneliness, while the lighter hues towards the bottom represent hope and connection. The center is intentionally disrupted with bursts of soft gold, suggesting fragile connections emerging from loneliness. The pixel arrangement follows a descending pattern, allowing the narrative of falling tears to resonate subtly throughout.
