Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between loneliness and connection through its contrasting patterns and color choices. The dark palette of black and dark violet represents feelings of isolation, while hints of soft gold and pale green echo the elusive nature of connection, creating a tension in the composition. The center of the artwork is intentionally designed to contain more negative space, emphasizing solitude, while the outer edges are densely packed with noise patterns that symbolize a chaotic grid of connection attempts. The broken pixels introduce an imperfection which reflects the imperfect nature of human connection. Overall, this pattern embodies the struggle between feeling alone and the desire to connect, an ancient theme expressed through a modern digital abstraction.
