Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between clarity and confusion through a sharp contrast in color and pattern placement. The chosen palette, "ancient_fire," reflects a duality – burnt orange and gold bringing warmth and clarity, while dark red and charcoal imbue a sense of confusion and uncertainty. The outer edge features confusion patterns (target), and the center reflects clarity with sharper stripes, creating a sense of echo as colors collide. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, emphasizing the theme of disarray. The layout flows from the corner inward, where chaotic elements spread, defying expectation yet forming a cohesive tension across the artwork.
