Artist Statement
The emotional tone emerges from the tension between vulnerability and strength. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green evokes a sense of contrast: warm gold and cool black creating a visual push and pull. The main collision happens in the center where dark violet threads (strength) intersect with pale green bars (vulnerability), suggesting a complex interplay of protection and exposure. The spiral pressure layout reinforces movement towards the center while creating quiet spaces, representing the struggle between tension and release.
