Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The palette of red for urgency, pale blue for serenity, and black for depth creates a stark contrast, with a few white accents providing moments of clarity. The pattern combines a crosshatch for longing that spreads thinly through the upper left diagonal, while a stacked pattern interrupts this with more defined structure in the lower right. The collision occurs predominately in the center, where both patterns interact, reflecting the emotional push and pull of the seed's qualities. Broken pixels are sparsely placed to evoke a sense of damage amidst repair, emphasizing imperfection and the complexity of emotions.
