Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between loneliness and connection. The chosen palette of deep black, vibrant electric blue, bright lime, and rich magenta captures the contrast of isolation against the vibrancy of communal bonds. The first four rows represent loneliness through a 'ring' pattern, featuring subtle circular motifs, suggesting a feeling of being encircled yet alone. The bottom four rows burst with a checker pattern representing connection, invoking a sense of energy and interaction. The inconsistency in placement and the presence of a few broken pixels echo the theme of imperfection within human relationships.
