Artist Statement
The emotional tone navigates between nostalgia’s subdued warmth and the sharp brightness of progress. The palette, comprising dim cyan, navy, and stark black, evokes a sense of depth and weight. The upper half mimics nostalgia with stairs-like patterns using softer colors, while the lower half erupts with brighter hues in what resembles a spark, representing progress. The contrasting colors create a collision of feelings—a push and pull between stability and chaos, reflecting the seed. Broken pixels introduce subtle imperfections, reinforcing the idea of 'full vs. hollow', and leaving wisps of negative space enhances the tension between these emotional states.
