Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a contrast between longing and resolve, where the longing manifests as a flood of warm colors representing distant warmth and thin bridges. The palette comprises electric blue and magenta for intensity, juxtaposed with dense black for formality and presence, creating an electric edge. The collision occurs diagonally across the square, where patterns of longing (flood) rise sharply against those of resolve (crack), forming a compelling argument of emotion. Negative spaces amplify feelings of distance and separation, while broken pixel imperfections create a sense of emotional interruption.
